Fuckberry is a knitted textile piece as well as a performance work . The performance recorded the artist stitching the Chinese character ‘操’on top of a
hand-knitted strawberry. The performance is a wordplay in
Chinese as the pronunciation of strawberry and fuckberry are
similar.
The work subverts the action of
care and innocence into something
wrong and explicit. Calligraphy
wrote by my father, and by
stitching, I completed an unpleasant
wordless conversation between us.
